W E L C O M E

Beloved, you’re heartily welcome to a place you can call your own, a place where you can be encouraged by what God has done (and continues to do) in the lives of other Christians; you can also share your personal testimony to encourage others.

I believe God has given Christians what it takes to make a significant impact in the world and turn the hearts of discouraged and hurting Christians back to God. We can collectively do this by sharing with others, what the Lord has done in our lives. Like the Samaritan lady who Jesus met at the well (John 4) we can also affect and influence the lives of many (both believers and non-believers) by sharing what God has done in our lives.

Embracing Life's Challenges

I’m writing this piece of message to encourage all Christians who are going through difficult times. Even though we are Christians, we are human and susceptible to all the pains and vulnerability that the human race goes through. However in the face of all the pain and disappointments, Jesus left us with His peace. In John 14:27, He expressed it this way, “Peace I leave with you; my Peace I give you not as the world gives. Let not your heart be troubled nor let it be fearful”.

On Tuesday 16th September 2008 towards the end of a hard (and long) day’s work, I had a message from a dear friend and Christian colleague informing me that his wife has had a miscarriage. The message stung me like a bee. My initial reaction was, ‘God why?’ I was very sad on hearing that news; my friend was devastated but of good cheer. I immediately picked up the phone and called to offer my support to him and his wife. We spoke at length and in obedience to God’s word, we committed the situation into the able hands of our Lord.

As I went through the rest of the day, I kept pondering over their loss and wondering why God allowed this to happen to them. God knows very well that this couple so much desire children so why would he allow them to conceive and have a miscarriage? Difficult to comprehend but as I kept reflecting, a scripture verse came to mind, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD (Is 55:8). I immediately understood that God allows everything to happen for a reason. It may seem painful and unpleasant however in the mist of all the storm of (sorrow and pain), the hand and peace of God is with His children.

You might be going through a very difficult period in life however as you read this piece of article; I would like to draw your attention to the fact that the God who has called us has His eyes fixed on us and His ear tuned in to our cries. There’s no situation he doesn’t see or cry He doesn’t hear. He knows us individually by our names – the Bible says that He has inscribed us in the palms of His hand. Our pain and sorrow will not last forever. He has promised in Isaiah 55:13 that “Instead of the thornbush will grow the pine tree, and instead of briers the myrtle will grow. This will be for the LORD's renown, for an everlasting sign, which will not be destroyed."

To my friend (and his wife) and all readers, I would like to use this short article to let you know that our God will never leave us nor forsake us; do not resign yourself to the fact that ‘all is lost’; all is not lost. Your difficult and painful circumstance is like a seed which has to die and rot in order for a new life to spring forth. Do not let the situation and circumstance define your trust and love for the Lord instead, let your trust and love for the Lord define the situation. Continue to trust in the Lord and He’ll prove Himself faithful. Never give up nor retreat in the face of difficulty instead draw closer to God through prayer and meditation. Lift up your eyes unto the Hills for your help and deliverance will come from there. God is preparing a testimony for you! Your miracle is on the way

Remember, Jesus left us with His peace – May the peace of the Lord calm your troubled heart.
